Easy To Use
The web-based interface is very simple to understand and walks the user through each step in a process.  Almost everything is able to be clicked on to allow for "drill-down" information to be obtained.  The interface is also brandable, meaning your corporate colors and logo can be placed into the application.  This branding is included with each system at no additional charge.

Powerful & Scaleable
The web-based interface requires no additional license fees per user, as do competing products.  Keep in mind that some of our competitors products also require you to own a license for Microsoft Access for each user as well, we don't.  Our database can handle millions of recopies and work orders.  Our competitors product begins to become unusable at very low quantities.  Our data storage is only limited by your server's hard drive.  So adding more space means you can keep growing.  Microsoft Access is limited in maximum size and not really meant to be used in a business critical application as it can become corrupt quite easily.

Create new recipes and formulas
Select raw materials from your inventory and specify the amounts required. Include special instructions for production staff. Even define the proper packaging materials for a given amount of product.  Recipes can also include non-ingredient items like buckets, lids, and labor.  Recipes can be imported from other software packages (like RMS) without an issue.  Note that over 50% of our customers have migrated off of RMS to IRIS due to bugs and performance issues.

Issue work orders
Order the production of batches based on your standard recipes, or modify them as required on an individual basis. IRIS will keep the quantities and costs balanced within your inventory and accounting systems automatically.  IRIS talks directly to the Mas90 inventory modules.

Produce the default quantity of a recipe, or a custom quantity
IRIS can use the original recipe proportions to calculate exact ingredient amounts for any batch size.  This saves time if you create the same batch size on each work order.

Work orders pass through logical stages
Our workflow process allows you to review available ingredient quantities before committing the batch to production, and letting you choose ingredient quantities from available lots according to your own inventory management practices.

Effortless recall and relationship reporting
In the event of a product problem or recall, the IRIS database can trace the affected product batch back to its component ingredients... and identify any other product batches that could also be involved.  This screen is generated instantly and can be "drilled-down" to locate the exact customer and lot if desired.

Flexible role-based security
Assign multiple roles to employees based on their location, company, and responsibilities. The security system is incredibly flexible offering you about every possible permutation on security settings that one could want.

Infinite facilities and companies in one interface
Formula Manager can handle multiple warehouses and production facilities -- even multiple company identities within a corporate family.  You can also change the company with a simple drop-down box.

IRIS was developed specifically for recipe and formula management and tracking.
It is not a general database with a few custom fields. While it serves most targeted functions "off-the-shelf", its modular construction means that we can further optimize IRIS for your unique environment and processes.

100% Web Based
Because it is web-based, you have no special client software to install on your computers in your facility. By default the application is installed so it can only be used within your facility; however, if IRIS is properly married with certificate security and/or virtual private networking (VPN) you can manage it from anywhere on the internet, knowing it is still secure.

Report against IRIS with Crystal Reports
You can use Crystal Reports to generate any additional reports you desire from IRIS.  The database is easy to navigate and report creation is a snap.  You can also use other reporting software, but since you probably already own Crystal, we have optimized for that.
